FM3 Firmware Version 10.0

OK, I missed it again. I checked sometime after 1:00 pm Friday and it was still the beta so I went on with my day.

Is it just me, or is the SLO 100 rather different now? The presence control seems to work differently. I've had to start from scratch with my patch, a soft reset wasn't enough. I can't see it in the release notes so I think my ears might be going mad.

Thank you FAS. I updated and played a bunch.

I was concerned about the CPU on my non-turbo -- my main presets are, like, "kitchen sink". But these kitchen sink presets did not need tweaking.

The only preset I had to tweak is one I use a harmonizer. I just lowered the diffusion and the dispersion on my plate reverb to zero, and the preset is a-ok now.

FWIW the unit sounded great before, and it still sounds great :)
 
I feel like some of my patches are being overwhelmed by the guitar signal with the new firmware. For example, I have a very simple patch with a SD-1 into the 2203, and chugging on the low E string seems to be too hot in a way that it wasn't with the previous firmware. Using a Les Paul, pickups are not high output. Has anyone else experienced this?
 
Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but is there a way to perform a soft reset on all presets without changing the settings?

Tweak the input pad .. the default seems to be higher in this FW.

Go to Setup > I/O > Audio, and set the input pad to -6 or -12db.

Try this, after installing the new FW:

I backed up all my Presets, which is essentially Bank D (all my presets are above slot 384). I used this method to install the brand new Factory Presets, then used the same method to load/save my Bank D (from slot 385 up).

You are mixing things up.
Re-saving presets is NOT the same as soft-resetting the amps.
Read this to soft-reset the amps in multiple presets:

I had the same issue. After updating and refreshing after FW update, I tried to do a refresh all presets and it hung on preset 244. After restarting the FM3, I ended up copying an empty preset to preset 244 using the front panel controls of the FM3. I haven't tried updating all presets again yet.

You need to install the new factory presets first, see OP.
