finally a clip from me (ambient clean + a bit lead)

Hi folks,

ok, I've had my Axe-Fx for well over a year, but never sat down to record a clip for this lovely forum (only for my band mates).
Today I changed my mind ;)
It's just a small idea but I had so much fun improvising on top of it, I thought I'd share it.
Sorry for the fake bass guitar (I don't have one) and sorry #2 for the poor phrasing and note choice of my lead work - I was playing too much, so when I finally started recording my brain was empty :?
I hope you like it though.

Oh, now this is really nice; 12/8 time and some very tasty reverb tails - especially on the whole-notes track.

Did you fatten up the verb with some multi-tap delay?

Great!

A sofisticated Pink Floydish thing.
Everything sounded cool, a louder lead (more gain, less reverb) would have been my choice.
I want to hear more!

:D

Thank you all for the nice words, I'm glad you liked it.
As I said, the lead guitar was just for fun, but I hope I can turn the "ambient thing" into a complete song for my band.

what patch is that
is it a stock patch
or did you make it?

The high (whole-)notes are played with the stock patch "Vertigo".
Everything else is done using my own patches.
The clean main guitar is quite simple, it's just a regular delay with a lot of diffusion and some modulation.
Beside the reverb in the Vertigo patch (which is hardly noticable) there's actually no reverb at all in this recording.
The lead has some stereo delay (but no diffusion), too. I thought it's already pretty loud and "gainy" compared to the other tracks, it
probably comes down to different playback devices.
Thanks much for the Pink Floyd comment :D It was not intended but I thought the same afterwards.

edit: here's the first half, only the main clean guitar:
