I searched to see if it's possible (and if it's possible I'm not doing it right), but can't find an answer to this question. Is it possible while saving, when the window asks what patch you want to save to - to hear the patch you're choosing to save to (especially a different patch #), ensuring you don't overwrite something by mistake? If it can't be done, that would be a great feature, emulating keyboards/ rack modules I have. - Shep

PS - didn't know what to call this feature...

I suggested this for the Compare feature - put it on the save page so you can check the edited sound against whatever preset slot you choose. Would definitely be very useful.

I think it could be called "Prelistening" or something like that.

I like the idea that I thank about too many times while tweaking without Axe-Edit.
I vote Yes.

But I fear it's undoable 'cause of the "EDIT BUFFER" size.
Adding this feature would be doable only if this buffer size is right to contain 2 presets a time.
It must create a secondary buffer to flip between the actual preset that we want to save and the preset on the location that we plan to replace (or not).

Wait about Jeff's answer about it.
