If settings are changed significantly, you will hear the "zipper" effects just like when changing channels as the same thing is essentially happening. Again...I don't use it as I want "perfect" spill when I change scenes/effects and really never change presets when playing. So, we'll see I guess.

Yes, but that's true today already with channel changes within presets and people still do it all the time.

It also depends on the use case. I think many people will use this feature to "extend" presets by having the same "base" signal chain with various different effects spread across multiple presets much like the Axe Fx does with scenes due to having more CPU. It definitely opens the door for new ways of working.

Preset switching time is also faster regardless of gapless being enabled so that might be good enough for many people.

I don't normally worry about Spillover because I don't typically change presets during a song (or even set, many times). I didn't realize it was not set to ALL while initially beta testing the FM9 gapless and assumed that was the default... The presets were changing so fast that I was really surprised that it was even better (really gapless!) once correctly set.

The Dynacab beta for FM3 was way before the FM9 beta.

They don't have unlimited resources and decisions about what to focus on have to be made. But yes I had also wished this was fixed, before. Eventually I just changed my set up somewhat to accommodate the issue.

But even myself (as I think many others), to be frank, do prefer fractals attention going to keeping up with the new features of the III. I can get around the USB issue, and would view (let's say) not getting the new JCM sim, gapless switching as a bigger downer by far... (Or getting them a year later)..

Obviously tho it's highly personal and may be different for some. In an ideal world, fractal would accommodate all our desires (and their own), at least when not contradictory... But realistically there's limitations to this, some of which not immediately evident to us always either.
