Easiest way to convert stereo to Mono

I create my presets in stereo. I work mostly in the studio but, when I play live, I have to convert to mono. I know that SUM L&R can have issues in terms of phase cancelation and other things. I don't use short delays or the enhancer much. So, If I want to go Sum L+R and not have to listen to every preset carefully for issues, are there any rules of thumb or tips you guys can give? What are the "primary culprits" to watch for? I know the smart thing is to give them the "ear test" but time does not always allow and I change stuff up a lot. Also, I fear that issues that may not be readily apparent to me may be moreso FOH.

Thx!

turn off the panner.

i have stereo patches and leave it on stereo output, but only give the FOH the Right side, if they only want mono. it has my longer dual delay so i prefer it. and if there are any panning or trem effects, i just don't use them.
