hey guys, is anyone of you using the earvana floyd nut?
what is your experience?

I have an Earvana on a couple of my guitars and it makes a difference that I can hear.

A good one. YMMV.

No experience with the locking one, seems like good materials & workmanship...

I don't have the Floyd version, but I do have Earvanas on several guitars and they work extremely well.

I need to replace one in one of mine and I can't seem to find the right blank for < US$35.

There was one installed on a Jackson (string through body) archtop soloist I bought used. I could not get the guitar to stay in tune. Not way out but always just a touch out of tune. I had Dan Erlewine remove it and put on a regular tusq nut and now it's fine. This is my only experience with them.

Wait a minute... a Earvana Floyd Nut was originally placed on a non-locking tremolo guitar?

No, it was the standard earvana nut. I just meant that I would have to advise against any earvana nut based on my experience
