Did you get an error message regarding having the wrong Dynacab version? If not, you should have 1.06 already on your AF3.

If you want to go a little farther, depending on how you handle the files on your computer, you could also search your harddrives for filename dyna_cabs_1.06 . If you have already unzipped the file (your PC may do this automatically, but not all do), I'd think it fair to assume you also loaded it onto your AF3.
 
Ok thanks, I’ll try doing that! I’d had no issues so far everything is smooth, just asking and making sure I have all the necessary tools so far
 
So, I am 99.9% sure the answer to this is no, but just in case I am misunderstanding something…

I have a new Dyna Cab I have made on my AX FX III. It uses all 4 cab slots in the block.

Is there any way to export this as a legacy cab? I want to use this combo of Dyna Cabs on my FM3 but the FM3 of course has two cab slots not four so I cannot recreate it.

Again, I am pretty sure I can’t do this (not until there are CabLab packs for Solo 100 cabs, which occupy two of the 4 slots) but it can’t hurt to ask.

The only way to do this is to buy the equivalent cab packs and make the mix in Cab-Lab 4 and then export it from there. Not all the factory DynaCabs are available as cab packs though, so the true answer is likely: no.

I updated my unit after almost a year🙈. Wow!
I now feel that my presets are alive, I can feel the touches of my fingers on tge sound I create. Probably most of you were able to have this, but for me, it’s a big change after this ypdate.
And tgecreason why I’m saying thanks here is tge dynacabs!
I love them. Also maybe because of my limited abilities I had always difficulties with finding the good cabs in the past. But with the dynacabs, I can approximate what I need based on the model and if I have anything I don’t like in the sound, I find it super easy to fine-tune with the mic placement.
So thank you, guys for these!
And I’ll get tge other modells from the shop, I need. to try them!
 
Took the leap to 27 today and got the incorrect dynacab version message, found Cliff's post and downloaded the zip. Updated with the Fractalbot in the updated (latest) Axe Edit III software. My presets that were using Dynacab now have sound where they were not making any sound before finding this post. Problem now is Dynacab works but you can't select anything they are all blank where before this firmware update I had options between the different cabinets, solo, usa, etc etc.

Is this normal? I had this all tweaked with ribbon, dynamic, condenser etc with the 1960 cabs etc. If I click on any of the CABX boxes I get the bottom screeny...

I'm sure I missed something.

Refresh after new firmware from the menu bar in Axe-Edit.

@80sMetalDude Just to piggyback on this - I recently updated my buddies Axe Fx III and for whatever reason, it took a couple tries on the DynaCab install so if you do that and they don't show up right away, just try doing another RANF and maybe restarting the Axe.
 
Thx for the replies, much appreciated. Refresh did the trick. Are all future Dynacab updates going to basically reset the cab block/saved libraries? All of them now just say Legacy/Pig when selected. Spent hours/days listening to loopers moving around positions/combos of mics. I'm hoping to avoid this in the future if there is something I am doing incorrect in my workflow. Appreciate the help and seriously dont take this as an angry post I love Fractal, best purchase I ever made.

Are you just talking about saved blocks?

I don't recall any issues reported but possible I just forgot...
 
I haven't had problems with dyna cabs when saved in block library. Mic positions etc. settings stay the same. If there will be new dyna cabs and they change the order of the old ones then they most likely mess up the cab blocks too?

I haven't seen that happen. Dyna-Cab updates are data and are loaded into a dedicated slot in memory, and Fractal-Bot won't touch presets at all during the update. Firmware updates could touch presets after rebooting the unit, and the release notes will say if they're going to, but I haven't seen firmware touch cabs. It's up to us to assign whether to use Dyna-Cabs in the Cab block in presets, so something else besides the Dyna-Cab update is at work.

"Legacy/Pig" is the default when no cab is selected as it's the first slot in the Legacy range.

I'd recommend making a full backup, then confirm you have the latest version of the firmware and Edit, then reload the firmware and its accompanying Dyna-Cabs.

https://www.fractalaudio.com/axe-fx-iii-edit/ is the current version of Edit.

The v27.03 firmware is available in https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/axe-fx-iii-firmware-27-03-release.210369/. The version in the Support > Download > AxeFXIII directory is v.27.02 and is stale (@Admin M@).

Dyna-Cabs v. 1.06 are in https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/dyna-cabs-version-1-06.207301/.

Do the "RANF" step once those are both reloaded and let us know what you see.

Not sure if it's the same for all the units.
I didn't see it as a separate download....
 
You will find 1.07 in the 28.03 Firmware Post. Fractal team likely should post that in a separate sticky or bundle it with each firmware release. Folks who upgrade non sequentially will get hit with the incorrect Dyna Cabs file error and may be a little lost on why.
