Dumb Question ?

I've had my axe II since December , but I've only been able to play with it a handful of times. I have not updated the firmware at all since I got it .
I have played through the presets a few times and found some stock presets that I love . I have not created any presets myself yet .
What I'm wondering is , If I update to the latest firmware , will I lose the stock presets that I like ? . Will the presets change so that the preset list that came with my firmware will not match after the update ?
Thanks for your help.

Also , can someone give me a quick "step by step" guide to a successful firmware update ?
It's in the manual, and posted (in great detail) many times. Search the AxeEdit forum pls..

And no, updating the firmware does not touch the presets. However, they may not sound exactly the same due to the nature of some of the firmware enhancements. You may also need to re-select the amp used ( by selecting another then the original).

Hello its simple with Axe-edit go to settings scroll down to update firmware select folder you downloaded the new firmware
select it. Then go to your axe-fx hit utilty button page over to firmware hit enter.

I think there's a video on youtube also.

Axe edit also needs to get new update. To match changes in the axe-fx

You may also need to re-select the amp used ( by selecting another then the original).

that's kind of ridiculous

um...searched: How to update firmware

results: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

thanks for your help buddy

Looks like you are off to a good start.

Some friendly advice: s0c9 is very knowledgeable and helpful, like many of the folks here. However, they are less likely to offer help to all of us if they get rude replies. Please be courteous when asking for help, and enjoy your AxeII. It's a cool thing!
