I saw some used FM9's listed on Reverb the other day at what looked like a really low price. Four of them all around $550. Three of them from the same seller (with a few previous sales). All were in Finland or Norway (I think). It seemed to good to be true. The old saying 'if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" kept popping into my head. They are sold now, but I did a search on sold listings and saw 12 FM9's listed in the past two weeks. None were listed at more than $600 and all of them were either in Norway, Finland, Switzerland, and one was Australia.
Does this seem unusual to anyone besides me? I assume duty fees might apply to someone purchasing in the U.S., but other than that is there some 'catch' to this that I am missing? I don't want to offend anyone here that might be the sellers and imply something dishonest is going on. Maybe they are selling low because they desperately need the money. But like I said, the price just seemed too good to be true, especially considering Reverb listings in the U.S. for these used (current and sold) is at, or above, Fractal's price due to availability.
