Direct editing effects with onboard knobs.. ?

Is it possible / Would it be an idea for a Firmware update to get real-time access to FX-parameters with the "amp-knobs" on the AX8 ?

Like:
1. toggle edit mode with a switch between normal amp-parameters (gain, bass, treble, volume...) and FX
2. step on effects footswitch to select effect
...or even 1+2 by long holding the FX footswitch (I know this is reserved for X-Y)...?
3. show main params on display like "TS808 - Overdrive: -> DRIVE, Tone -> BASS, Level -> LEVEL"
4. adjust knob
5. release FS

So, to adjust the FX with minimum effort during live playing...

Or did I overlook the obvious...?
 
If you hit the footswitch for an effect and tap edit, you are taken directly to the main page for that effect
 
This is why I built a 4-knob expression controller for my setup. Also not the same as being able to edit effects with the LED knobs but great for tweaking parameters live.

That sounds great - would you care to tell about you project ... that could be a great enhancement for many !
