Digital IO for FXL?

I am virtually certain the answer to this is "no". But, is it possible to use the digital IO for FXloop? If not, might this be something that could be implemented with FW? I have a pile of great efx devices with digital IO. And, their converters are not as good as the Axe. It would be so cool to be able to send a digital signal to Eventides etc without converting.

Any shot we could see this in the Axe 2?
