I grew up around guys who played like this, and have that 'neck pickup of a 335' through a Fender amp tone burned into my soul. After hearing Paco's recording last night I grabbed my Heritage 535 off the wall and built a similar patch by tweaking the Deluxe Reverb preset. Sonic bliss.

One thing that hit me... the experience reminded me of how my brother built an arcade style video console loaded with a PC running some emulator software so that he could play video games from his childhood. Cutting edge gear judged by how well it could simulate relatively ancient technology. Growing up, the idea of something like the AxeFXII would have been beyond belief. But then again, kids growing up today will never know a time when they didn't have a small block shaped device in their pocket that could access the collected knowledge of man in an instant.
