Creating lush pad preset

Anyone have some tips in creating a nice lush pad that I can use to play over? Looking for something that sort of sounds like a spacey synth or organ pad that drones infinitely while I play the intro to a song.

I've had zero luck figuring out how to do it other than using the 'hold' function of the delay (which is cool, but a little hit or miss and I'd like something that's reliable, and consistent every time).

there's a few different ways to do this. you can either use delays/reverbs/multidelays to infinitely extend a chord that you play into them, or you can use multiple voices in the synth blocks with tracking set to "off" to generate tones which you can form into a chord. run the synth blocks into some other fx, like chorus, and multidelay and you'll have a nice lush sound that you can fade in and out with an expression pedal. you might run into problems with cpu though, as you're on an AX8
