$1,300 for 8 faders seems very pricey.

The Mackie version can be had for $900 if you shop around.

Not a great move by Avid.

That's because about 3 years ago Avid bought Euphonix and rebranded the Euphonix Artist series as Avid Artist.

I have it with a MC Control and love them. Previously I had an M-Audio project mix IO but never liked the fader. It took a little but now they work fine in Reaper

The behringer X-Touch looks like it could be interesting as well (and for a lot less money). Looks like it might also work as an X32 remote.
