hear all this animus towards the brand and owners and it was hard to not take it personally. It was very deflating to say the least. Here I thought everyone loved PRS

I have no idea where any of that comes from. Paul is the type of success story to aspire to, setting out to improve things, and creating a worldwide brand in the process, in only a generation. They do build fine instruments, even spinning off, in a manner of speaking, the Knaggs brand, since Joe used to work there. Maybe the Les Paul lawsuit ruffled some feathers, but PRS prevailed, possibly due to (or maybe the reason) Gibson not enforcing their patents, so that's history. Even though they're not my preferred brand any longer, I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing a PRS, and think they're a great company.
