Capture an IR of the Internal Cab Block?

Hi,

I just wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to capture an IR of the Cab block inside the Axe. I just tried and it looked like it might work but didn't seem to. Setup as follows

Preset with a cab block and shunts only
Output 2 mirror to off
connected Out 2 to input 1
connected Out 1 to input 2

When I click capture I see the input light up and an IR of sorts is captured however it sounds bad.

I'm guessing that out1 is muted during the capture phase and I'm just capturing noise but I thought I'd ask if anyone had managed to get this working.

And if you're wondering why??? Then it's because my AX8 just arrived and I'm trying to capture a mix of two stock cabs with dephase and hi/lo pass filters on so that I can port it over to my new toy

yes, you can use a tonematch to do it.

I got perfect results with the IR capturing tool of Studio One V2 prof.
I came to good results with the internal tools of the axe-fx, but was not able to make perfect copies.
You can check the quality of your shoot by capturing user IRs, that way you can compare the original IR with your own capture.
