Can you use the Pedal 1 and Pedal 2 on the back of the FM3 to add more footswitches?

Like the Switches 1+2 and 3+4? I don't want to add more pedals, but a couple more assignable buttons would be sweet.

Each one can be used for two switches or one expression pedal. So between the two jacks you can
have:
4 switches
or 2 switches and 1 expression pedal
or two expression pedals.

Those external switches can be used for pretty much any function that one of the onboard switches can be used for with one caveat: they are Global. In other words, they do not, and cannot have different functions based on the switch layouts.

FYI, even though the switches are Globally assigned, you can still use Per-Preset Overrides to configure them as anything you want in a Preset.
