I go back to my real Wizard MC II AND Friedman Jake for reference to modded Marshall tones and find in the FAS Marshall amp blocks to get the kind of mid rich harmonic content close to real amps the bright switch engaged is crucial. I tried just using the cut and I could not get that upper harmonic content for lack of better description. By engaging the bright and turning off cut, I can bring up the base pull back the presents to compensate, etc. and bam I’m very happy With the results
All of last gigging year are use my real Amps not satisfied with what I came up with in the Fractal but now I am actually going to be able to use it Live!!
What are the tricks of you guys found and do you go back to real amps as a reference? I ask because it really easy to have our ears conditioned by listening to modelers
