Blu Mix/MoFi into Out 2?

I'm looking for a portable and battery powered headphone solution for the lack of headphone jack.

I've got a pair of Blue Mix Fis. Would they work on their own plugged in to out 2 due to the built in amp, or would I still need something like the Fiio A3?

Some people have mentioned using a Zoom H(x) series - works with headphones and added benefit of recording...sounds handy. If you've tried it, how does it sound/is it easy to set up? Will do H4 do the job as well as the H5?

I have the mofi and while they sound great they are heavy to wear. The MixFi's are just the new version of the mofi's you should be fine. You could even get the Lola's and be find.

Have you tried Out2 directly into headphones? The Blues should work pretty well, even without the built-in amp.
