Better option than Fender FR-10?

I just ordered an FM3, my first time with anything Fractal and very much looking forward to trying it out!

I'm also looking for an FRFR option which will only be used in my bedroom, and a friends bedroom, so volume isn't an issue.
I don't know much about FRFR nor have I used one before.

I'm looking at the FR-10 as I light the weight, look and cost.

Is there another better option that I don't know about, that has a similar weight and cost?

If you’re used to playing through guitar cabs then I would get a power amp instead, and run a fractal amp model through it and one of your existing cabs.

FR10 and FR12 are probably the best bang for the buck right now.... there are cheaper options that you could try out (like the headrush) but they aren't that much cheaper and they are noticeably harder to work with when dialing in your desired tone. The only other option I would look at is a used Matrix FR12 (powered) as they are comparable in price and performance.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll take a look at the others.

I'm actually more used to playing with studio monitors and much prefer them over my Katana, would an FRFR still be better than something like the Katana? I'd still like to use the Fractal cabs rather than switching them off

Then at home definitely stick with studio monitors and monitor it like any other mic'd or recorded instrument (preferably in stereo). If you need something to jam at your friend's house then the FR10 is getting great reviews but I wouldn't spend any additional money on a speaker for informal jam sessions when you already have the Katana. Surely you can connect the Fractal to an aux input on it.

The only way to be sure of your choice is to try them. Everyone's opinion is personal like the ears....the context in which we practice too!
There is a big trend for which everyone has to be of the same opinion but no more.
