The TF series is solid for sure. To OP point, what does the I/O need to be? The one thing Behringer/Midas have going is the Ultranet, we use the Midas MR18 for practice, and being able control your own mix w/o a phone/tablet is pretty nice.....Check out the Yamaha.

How's the built-in wi-fi on it? App control okay or janky?in my band we use the soundcraft ui24r. it is a great solution and it has a neat internal patching feature for everything it does (aux, hardware, daw etc)
Ah. So you connect to it's Wi-Fi network and then hit an web server it's running to control it?Another nod to the Yamaha Ui it doesnt use an app but a private network within the unit.
Sorry I ment Soundcraft I was thinking Yamaha for some reason but Yes! Soundcraft demo But just like any of the others I would change out the router to something more robust! the Ui 24 is a really good bang for the buck! The other one I did consider was the Midas M18Ah. So you connect to it's Wi-Fi network and then hit an web server it's running to control it?
Simple, effective.I should have specified that!
Honestly? The 32 is overkill here. We could live with an XR-18 but I'm going to trade in my RJM GT/22 so I've got more funds than I need for an XR-18 and considering going up-range as a result.
We're not using IEMs so personal mixing for practice isn't really useful for us.
How's the iPad app for that? I at least know how shitty the Behringer app is.
I can't tell why that's worth several hundred dollars more than the identical looking XR-18 from Behringer? How about something like the Midas MR18 (if 32 channels is too much)?
Thanks
Pauly

I have an XR18 and X32. Both are great pieces of kit that should serve your purposes well. It's one of the rare instances where I actually choose the behringer over other options because it's actually a quality piece of gear on its own right.
Did not like the soundcraft I had.
