Axe II vs Rectifier

About a year a go, not long after getting my Axe Fx II, I took it (along with my 2:90 and Recto 4x12) over to my brother in law's place for a jam. I was actually rather disappointed at how it measured up against his recto head and 4x12.

Today, several firmware revisions, and much learning on my part later... My recto patch CRUSHED his Dual Rectifier. So did my Friedman patch. Also the Dizzy, Brit silver and wrecker.

LOL. You take all of that to your brothers in laws house for a family jam? That's the kind of stuff I started eyeballing my Mustang III V2 for. But maybe I'm just lazy:lol

Rook, just curious... still using the 2:90? If so, do you use the Axe with Power Amp modelling on or off with it?
