Axe fxII volume knob

Hey I was wondering if this is normal . When I turn the volume knob there is a delay with the sound catching up with me turning. Is this normal?
 
The output knobs are digital "pots." They increase the volume in steps. Fractal chose them as part of their recipe for keeping noise levels ridiculously low. The Axe prevents the stepped volume changes from happening too fast in order to minimize the "zipper" sound as the level changes.
 
I bitched, I mean posted about that a while back. I've gotten used to it but I'm still not particularly fond of the response of the volume knobs. It doesn't actually bother me anymore though.
