Axe FX Ultra won't turn on

Hey everyone,

I've had my Ultra for almost 6 months now & never had a problem with it. Tonight I moved it into another room, plugged it in & it flashed on for 1 second then shut itself down. It didn't make any noise to make me think something had blown, it just won't power up anymore. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Or how I can go about getting it repaired? There's doesn't seem to be much info about troubleshooting on the net... I have read people suggesting to change the fuse over, but I can't find a fuse panel on the back & the manual doesn't have any info about it. I am in Victoria, Australia & the only Fractal dealer in the country is a fairly dodgy company in another state, so I am reluctant to contact them. Any ideas what I should do? I am heartbroken :(

Chris,

I presume that you have checked the basics, like trying another power point that you know is working - checking that the power lead is plugged in at the back of the AXE FX properly, and is not loose.

Sometimes we overlook the simple things in a panic.

Yep I've double checked all the obvious symptoms. Tried 3 different power points & 2 different power cables, definitely plugged in all the way. Tried plugging leads into the input & outputs to see if that would make any difference but nothing will get the power to turn on. Thanks for you input though, this is so scary :(
 
Not that I know of. There is nothing on the back panel indicating a fuse, just big text saying DO NOT OPEN. Also nothing in the manual about fuses, or even a troubleshooting section.

Am I posting in the right place to get advice?
 
Pretty sure the DC supply inside will be fused. Worth checking, if you know how.
Otherwise email Fractal.
