Axe-Fx III Studio Setup questions

Hello, I have setup my axe 3 as my main interface to my Mac via USB. I chose the XLR output 2 for my studio monitors so that I would still be able to simultaneously route to my amp via the Humbuster 1/4 jacks.

Everything works, but It seems like there is a better way of doing this, since I am struggling with leveling playback tracks against the guitar signal. I think this will also require me to copy Out2 with Out1 so that I do not have to change all presets. I stumbled on this feature, but I don't quite understand the ramifications.

Any suggestions on the best way of doing this?

There is a global setting for USB Return levels. You can use that to adjust the level coming back into the Axe Fx.

Hmm, turns out I can use the 1/4 and XLR outputs on the axe-fx iii simultaneously, so apparently no reason to use output 1 in my particular config. Did not see it stated in the manual, but I saw an old post that stated such.

Love how well thought-out, flexible and comprehensive this unit is so far!
