Axe-Fx III Firmware 31.03 Release

Pitch detection is limited to 1500 Hz. The range of the guitar is less than this. Don't try to shift things above 1500 Hz.
Is there any particular reason for this limit? Is it problematic to detect above that?
I mean, the range of the guitar is under that but not some harmonics apparently.

The limit is there to prevent "unpitched" sounds (pick attack, string squeak, etc.) from causing a large jump in the detected pitch.

The prior firmware had the same limit.

Just came here to say that this has been one of the most fun firmware to play yet. I've been digging how good my Strat and Tele are sounding through almost all amps! The past couple of firmwares sounded a bit off (and going through the FW-discussion threads for those makes me understand why) because of an odd ghost-y rumble in the low end, which was more apparent with single coils than humbuckers for some reason. But as soon as I updated to this firmware, it went away. Really digging the mid-gain tones now! I've spent the past three–four days playing through many of the Deluxes, Twins, ACs, Fuchs, and Bludojai models, and maybe it's just me, but I've never enjoyed playing through these models so much!

The odd ghost-y rumble in the low end was fixed with this:

Fixed Amp block first stage bias point can get corrupted and produce unwanted distortion.

Same!!! Can't believe I've been digging mid-gain but it is true. All of the models you mentioned I agree 💯. The Matchless Chieftain I need to throw in there too, very rich and pleasing sound, covers my AC/DC / Cheap Trick/ Deep Purple/ Blue Oyster - "es que" jam - tone sessions amazingly well. Enjoy dude🙏❤️❤️💪

I recently bought a used Axe FX III mk II. I plugged it in, and it was working fine.

I updated it to this most recent version of firmware, and installed dynacabs. Everything progressed as expected.

I am now getting no cabinet in any of the existing presets, or a new preset that I create with an amp and cab. (I have double checked that the cab block is 'on').

I have already re-installed the firmware and the dynacabs to no avail.

Any ideas?

Did you select refresh after new firmware in the editor tools menu?

I did fine the refresh in the 'settings' menu of Axe-Edit, and I performed the action.

I still have no cabs.
Did you update Axe-Edit to current?
Did you perform a full backup of the AFX3 prior to updating to current? If so, restore, confirm all is working, perform reinstall of fw/dc.

As far as I know, everything is up to date. Axe-Edit is v 1.14.27. Firmware is 31.03.

All of the presets are factory (except the one I created in Axe-Edit) presets with factory cab settings.

So, cabs were definitely not working. You could tell by the sound--particularly on distorted tones--that it wasn't, but I bypassed the cab block just to make sure and nothing about the sound changed.

THIS MAY HELP ANYONE WHO HAS A SIMILAR PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE:

I went into the 'setup' menu on the Axe-FX itself, selected 'utilities', paged over to the 'reset' tab, and performed a 'Reset System Parameters'. This seems to have solved the problem.
