Oh man. This is great, but way too much for me.There’s a good explanation here: https://robrobinette.com/How_the_Marshall_JCM800_Works.htm#Cold_Clipper
@FractalAudio Does remastered mean the models now match the schematic?

I think that was probably in reference to the JVM / JS410 amps...The "rebalanced" comment above resonates for me on this release - I didn't A/B compare, so maybe some placebo going on, but so far, playing mostly the Archon model, it sounds/feels more balanced / even to me also, and a tad more "lively" than before.
Nothing in the Release Notes indicates a reset is required. Is a soft reset required to have the updates applied, or is this change applied with the update? I’m more curious about the patches I’ve created, if I need to do a soft reset. Theres always the guy who questions this, i’ll be that guy this time around. Placebo tells me that it’s applied a crossed the board.
P.S.just sold half of my pedals this week. 7 year user here and I finally, with 28, and a new set of monitors will ultimately sell all but three of my tube amps and all but 5 of my pedals off.
Thank you for making me money, Fractal.

Cliff edited his first post after recommending a soft reset in his latest post. Just sayin', in case you missed that.RTFRN

NoIs there any change in CPU usage with the new beta firmware?

I kind of thought so, I never experienced you being anything but nice, hence the "That was more a good natured poke at unix-guy than it was any form of productive contribution.
". It's all good.

What firmware did you update from?PVH 6160 Block Lead:
After a soft reset I noticed that Negative Feedback changed values. Even after making the same change to the amp block before a soft reset to match the current version, sounds are not equal. There's more going on under the hood that is really nice. (focused)
Soft reset amp block is less shrill in the upper mid section to treble, and more focused less blurry. Right hand now feels like a heavier punch that has sharper focus and more weight.
Well, I did miss it!
From 28.04 to 28.05 beta. This beta also updated them and now a soft reset is a recommendationWhat firmware did you update from?
Those amps were updated in the last firmware and had a recommended reset.
