Is this now the weather Channel? LolWasn't it like 18 or something crazy cold like that in Puddletown a couple of weeks ago?
All time highs and lows in the span of a year?? Totally normal, right?

Corrected? There is nothing to "correct".Just out of interest, nothing has been corrected internally on the Global Mix parameters. Beta2 to Beta3?

Thank you!Corrected? There is nothing to "correct".
Hopefully some are dialed in for us as I still can't tell any difference at all flipping back and forth between most of the current tube types only and not understanding how to make the associated advanced page adjustments, but when he does it (ie plexi 50W 6CA7) -> magic!.new power tube types ? 10 of them , that should be intresting , more Brands of EL34s
Follow the science! Love this version! I'm getting outstanding results from all tested presets. Thanks. It's code. The sound doesn't change if the code hasn't changed.
The only changes in Beta 3 were bug fixes to the Megatap block and a wrong value in the DS1 models.
The power of suggestion when it comes to hearing is well documented. That's why I don't rely on opinion, including my own, when evaluating algorithms. I rely on the math, measurements and blind A-B tests.
Send us all AC20s with JJ tubes, and we'll get back to you on that. Now I'm struggling with the question of whether I should change the default tube type for the AC20. The current default is softer and rounder sounding but the JJ sounds a bit more open and has a nice bite.
Add it as another amp model in the list? Now I'm struggling with the question of whether I should change the default tube type for the AC20. The current default is softer and rounder sounding but the JJ sounds a bit more open and has a nice bite.
Nah, why do that? It's just a tube difference. Just make JJ's the default power tubes. If you like the current default, use it.Add it as another amp model in the list?
Agreed. Different amp model <=> different (enough) circuitry.Nah, why do that? It's just a tube difference. Just make JJ's the default power tubes. If you like the current default, use it.
The AC20 models are sounding amazing! That has been my main amp since the II. This is the best yet.Now I'm struggling with the question of whether I should change the default tube type for the AC20. The current default is softer and rounder sounding but the JJ sounds a bit more open and has a nice bite.
Except that the current default is not the stock power tube for the AC20.I suggest to leave at default for authenticity, Yek will make a notation in his amp model guide and your (Cliff) findings/opinion will be in the Wiki so all the bases are covered.
Interesting, what is?Except that the current default is not the stock power tube.
JJ's... pretty much stock in most EL84 amps these days.Interesting, what is?
Thanks for the correction, I went back and reread his original post and for some reason didn't pick up on how he discovered it. I deleted my post so as not to cause any confusion.JJ's... pretty much stock in most EL84 amps these days.
You have one already. See the Block's Guide.
