Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 5.00 Public Beta

This is a good question. I guess it's pretty much the same tech in the saturation circuit so I wonder if it has been implemented there as well?

Is that true? I thought Cliff said this dramatic improvement in distortion was for silicon diodes? Or did I misinterpret?

Is the saturation circuit in amplifiers a silicon diode that clips? I would've thought that it varied? What about amps that were pre-silicon?

Proper fuzzes (meaning, specifically, not the Big Muff) don't have clipping diodes. It would be best described (although not completely accurate) as cascading gain stages.

So you wouldn't expect improvements in clipping diode simulation to change the fuzz drives.
That's right but what clip in a fuzz are the transistors which are basically formed by two diodes, so maybe they show the same clipping behaviour and the same algo can be used
