Hi guys, I recently succeeded to automate my preset changes in Cubase by connecting the Axe FX to the laptop with USB. However I want to do the same by sending the MIDI commands from my audio interface SSL 2+ to the Axe FX. I connected the SSL 2+ MIDI Out to the Axe FX II MIDI In with midi cable, changed the routing in the Cubase project (the output of the midi track is to the SSL 2+ MIDI) but it does not work. Is there a specific setup that needs to be done in the Axe FX II?
I prefer using a MIDI cable since on live shows, the laptop is next to the drummer and it will be easier to use MIDI cable from the audio interface to the Axe FX.
Also is there a way to have controll over the Axe FX from my MFC-101 and from a MIDI cable at the same time? For example, all preset changes will be automated but to use the MFC-101 to turn on the tuner or if something happens and I need "manual" (foot) control.
