Axe fx 2 Scenes with Roland FC200 Pedal

@ cemusic:
don't confound the fc-200 with fc-300. Erik Hammero described in post #9, how to do it with the fc-300. Only the fc-200 can't.

Ah, sorry--looking at the FC 200 manual it is clearly not an FC 300 minus one exp pedal.

Yes, the FC-200 does some non-standard MIDI things.

What about sysex? The manual mentions the possibility of sysex messages. Midi implementation chart states, that the fc-200 can receive and send system exclusive data and there is a table of such messages at the end of the manual.

2. TRANSMITTED DATA

2.1. Sending the received message while performing Soft Thru (normal operation)

2.2: transmitted messages: [...]
Control change number and VALUE 00H-7FH (0-127)

Mmh, but how can one tell the device, how to send these?
Or does that mean, that they are only sent through? I wonders, as there are two points (2.1. "Sending received message" and 2.2 "transmitted message").

SysEx stands for System Exclusive. It's a way to use MIDI messages that's exclusive to a particular manufacturer or product. Roland SysEx can't talk to Fractal SysEx.
