I was thinking the same thing. AxeFest is coming up and there has to be some beta time to iron it out. Plus, FW 11 just broke AE 1.9 - they're almost certainly not going to waste any time fixing that. It's time for AE 3 beta.

Hope it just means they're making some serious progress. Cliff was saying it was reaaaaaally close in July. I don't see why it won't come out this month unless they hit a major hurdle. (knocks on wood)

My guess is that firmware version 11 added some things that now need to be adapted into the new Axe Edit. I really do think both will be out very soon.

nah.....AE 3 official! If it's a beta, I stick with David's Lemur Template and the Midi interface forever (since the misguided USB adoption of class compliant fu*ks with my mac every reboot of the unit).

Be careful or the FPB (Front Panel Brigade) will stomp your head.

I have no issues using only the front panel, but I am a little surprised by the (what most would consider) delay on AE 3.0. It's probably Firmware 11's recent parameter additions, so I have a feeling it won't be much longer.

But the value of one sentence stating that from FAS would keep ALL the wolves at bay.
