So... just a simple question. Why do 75% of the uploaded/shared presets on this forum have reverb settings that make it sound like the Reims Cathedral and ping-ponging delays for days?

At 3am bedroom volumes it's not so noticeable, but at decent (gig) volume it's just WAY over the top. You can hear it in the covers people share too.

Am I missing something?

Maybe it's because many presets are developed at home using headphones instead of using a PA at gig volume level?

Should have used A-1. Ketchup is for Cretans. Refined epicureans use A-1 Sauce.

Yeah most of the posted presets are for recorded or bedroom volume tones where the extra ambience is often needed. When you are cranked, your sounds are interacting with your physical environment more so it's like adding reverb on top of reverb and it's too much. More energy = more reflections.
