Audio Devices Channel Tags on OS X Lion

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or the default if you don't install a driver for an audio device.

The channel tags displayed in Audio MIDI Setup - Audio Devices are:

AXE-FX II Audio Out
1. Front Left
2. Front Right

AXE-FX Audio In
1. Front Left
2. Front Right
3. Front Center
4. Low Frequency Effects

I would expect something similar to:

1. Main Left
2. Main Right
3. Unprocessed Out Left
4. Unprocessed Out Right

The II is Audio Class 2.0 compliant and those are the names the class assigns.

Same thing for me in OS X 10.6.8. Must be a Mac thing, because they are not labeled this way in Windows.
