Assigning Global PP values?

Hi Folks,

Sorry if this has been asked or if there’s an obvious solution here.

With 8.0 and gapless switching, I’m rethinking things to allow for some spontaneity in presets.

Here’s an example. Say on presets 2 4, 8, 10, I want to add a bypass switch for an effect. Ok, no problem, I assign an override PP value. The rest of my presets, each switch is just for scene switching.

What I’d like however is not to have to keep programming the same assignments for the Press & Hold functions of a switch in every preset I use that. It seems every preset, the PP values default to no values… and I can’t recall a previous PP1 or 2 assignment. Is there a way around this?

I'm assuming you mean Per Preset switches?

They are, as the name states, per preset. There's no way to "share" them.

A global switch is just a normal switch on a layout.

Yes to the first question. And thank you for the second part. I spent way too much time last night trying to figure why I couldn’t do that.
