Are you using Pre and post set up?

The manual is not the same as what the menu shows in the FX8. So far I have only been using the post set up but am finding certain effects sound like crap this way. In the screen on the FX8 it has a vertical column of 0/8
How do I set this column of numbers for say 4 pre effects and 4 post?
Can someone please take a picture of that screen set up for this or similar and post it here?

It's in the configuration page of each preset. I'm not right in front of my fx8 at the moment but I believe you get there using the page button.

To answer your question -sort of.

If I set it to say 'Pre/Post 6/2' and do the 4cm does that mean blocks in the 1-6 slots are pre and the last two are post?
