any way to assign the crossover to global effects?

yes,i'm a newb.i'm just wondering if it's possible to assign the crossover to the global effects.this way,in theory,it would be possible to assign HF signal to output.1 left and output.2 right, and the LF signal to output.1 right and output.2 left,and then bi-amp into a 4 ch. power amp such as the Carvin DCM1204.would this eliminate the need for an active crossover unit?
