AMP SWITCHING LATENCY

Hello

My gear is listed below:

1. MFC-101 Mark II

2. AXE FX II

3. SKRYDSTRUP MR10

4. RJM AMP GIZMO ( for the amp CAROL ANN OD2)
or
SUHR PT 100 Limited Edition ( which has integrated MIDI)

I have configured the MFC-101 Mark II so that some of the Instant Accesses control the AXE FX's effects, some control the pedals through the SKRYDSTRUP MR10 and some of them control the amp's channels ( Carol Ann OD2 or Suhr PT 100 ).

When I am inside a preset and I switch amp channels using Instant Access they switch very fast, perfect for playing.

The problem appears when I switch presets with different amp channel settings. The amp channel switches with a delay (there is some type of latency – probably close to half a second). It is bigger with the SUHR amp which has integrated MIDI than with the Carol Ann amp through the RJM AMP GIZMO. It affects my playing!

Any idea why this latency appears and how to fix it?

Thank you.

The MFC sends out Program Changes on all MIDI channels when switching presets.
Maybe the amps and/or the Gizmo get confused by this.
Make sure all those devices are set to a single MIDI channel, not OMNI.

to minimize MIDI data, prepare your MFC for own needs:

-> re-configurate MFC to Banksize=17 (just for less copy & paste issues you`ll read later...)
-> Go to MFC EDIT:pRESET 1 and select PC = OFF for all not used MIDI Channels!
-> EDIT:COPY:pRESET (1) to all Presets in BANK 1 (1-17)
-> EDIT:COPY:BANK (1) to all Banks...
-> re-configurate MFC to wanted Banksize...
