No, I don't think so. You can check and see if it's a socketed EPROM, but I doubt it is. They are usually surface mounted chips. You could always call Fratal and ask them.
 
I agree with you and i suspect Fractal won't help me with soldering tricks :) Anyway i will try, nothing to lose.
