About poweramp and amp with bass

A good poweramp to use today with Axe is over $1,000
Like Crest, Crown....

But with $1,00 bucks I can buy an ampeg svt classic head.... (used).

Yes, it's bigger, much more lbs... But is still an ampeg, not a poweramp.

Yes, Axe has the "ampeg svt" in the machine, but is not the same as a real ampeg.

So what's a good deal?
Use a good poweramp (the cheaper ones aren't so decente..) or use the Axe 2 with a real ampeg svt cl (on axe using only, effects, cabs and why not try to mix the real ampeg with some amp simulations on axe?)

Your signature says you have a GT1600FX. In my opinion and experience this is one of the best power amps to use with the Axe for bass.
Is the Matrix not doing it for you?
 
I use a Behringer EPX2000 power amp on my big rig. It works perfect for bass or guitar, it's super quiet, has tons of power, weighs like 1/10th of what my old tank of a poweramp weighed and was only around $399 or so I think when I bought it. Behringer makes good, clean power amps at a good price.
 
Yes it's doing but is off for repair. Plugged in a wrong voltage :roll

And here in Brazil is difficult to repair, difficult for parts.

So I'm looking for another poweramp or for the price buy an ampeg svt-cl and use it with axe.
