A small petition for IR makers - no room in the IR please!

Please, do not mic the IR's so that there's lot of room in the IR, if the intended IR is to be used as an ultrares IR in the Axe. If I was recording a song with a regular amp, I can't think of any reason to record with a very short gated reverb baked in to the recording right from the start. A proper room sound is a different thing, but unfortunately that is not possible with current IR lenght in the Axe. (But do save the long IR's for Axe3!) :encouragement:

The room can be eliminated by switching to standard res IR, but that loses the benefits of ultrarez.

IMO, the IRs of close cab-micings are never longer in the time domain, as Ultra-Res supports. So, ... the only problem with "truncated room verb" could happen in ambient & far-field positions, sometimes also in "rear cabinet" positions ... but normally, most of the time, close micing ist wanted and there you should not get into this problematic... ?!
