80s 90s hair

I'd recommend looking into Leon Todd's video for recreating the ADA MP-1, and then into a G12T-loaded cab (the wiki should help you finding one). I personally have had luck with the 1960TV dynacab.

There's also an old thread on here from 2016 specifically about getting a Skid Row tone so that might help you (I'd link it for you but my account is still too new)

Most 80s and 90s era rock was a JCM800, Plexi, ADA or Soldano through v30s or greenbacks. It’s pretty much all I want to play, but I tend to start there and tweak it to me rather than exactly how they recorded.

Edit: seems skid row was a mix of MP1 and Marshall.

Hope it could be in 2026 ;)
Not likely.

"Our modeling is extremely accurate but matching a particular copy of an amp is limited to variables beyond our control like speaker impedance curve, component tolerances and design changes. If matching a particular amp exactly is your goal you have two choices:
1. Learn what causes the difference. Read through the Tech Notes section. Educate yourself.
2. Use a profiling product."

Cliff has already stated that the next gen will support a NAM player...

I’d take the Klon and put it in front of the 5150-II. If you want 1st album tone, I’d arrange two mics with the Friedman 4x12 DynaCab. If you want 2nd album tone, I'd use the Citrus 4x12.

The key for Skid Row's tones to me is that they're using a ton of gain as if they were a metal band, but they were mic'd and mixed like a rock band.

To me the first album tone is very reminiscent of Operation: Mindcrime by Queensryche. The second album tone is just way heavier than any rock band of the Golden Era.
