3rd and 4th Cabs/Amps options missing?

Hi All,

I bought an AXE FX 3 Turbo with the understanding that we could use it for 2 guitars and a Bass like the Helix (chose the AXE FX for better IR's), but when we went to setup the 3rd input for Bass it turns out we cant. It only lists 2 Amps and Cabs, but there are multiple drives and effects that have 4 options. Is there an update I missed, or do we need to download this from somewhere? We are not switching effects or presets on the guitars, we just want a simple way of getting the tones we want for each instrument. Kind of a "set it and forget it" kinda deal. Less equipment to haul around for live stuff. Thanks for your help. :)
 
It's not possible to use more than 2 Amp or Cab blocks simultaneously.

You can use 2 Amp blocks for 2 guitars.

You can use some of the recently added "bass DI / preamp" options in the Drive block.

The Cab blocks can be split for Left/Right and used for different parts of the signal path or you can use the IR Player block - it's a "simple" version of the Cab block.
 
I've been using the III for 2 guitars and bass for years. I use the B7K drive model into a IR Player block with an Ampeg IR loaded. However with recent firmware I'm probably just gonna switch to the Sansamp drive model and call it a day. I only need one bass tone and the SansAmp is what is what I'd use in real life if not for the Axe.
 
Alrighty then, Ill give that a shot. Thank you guys. I just don't understand why they gave this thing more horse power and not give that option up to 3 to 4 singular additional modeling, since the inputs and outputs are there. At least there's always a work around huh?:D LOL.

The obvious answer is CPU limitations - even if there’s a more powerful one, modeling consumes a lot.

Then it’s a question of priorities - they could probably create a possibility to run multiple amps but then you wouldn’t be able to run anything else.

Obvious?:rolleyes: Thanks for the helpful comment I guess? 🤷‍♂️ Just thought since the Quad Cortex and Helix could do it I assumed the Fractal was equal, dare I say superior. Anyway the others gave good info and its seems to be working ok. The BlackGlass7K doesn't sound bad, and its not even breaking a sweat at 45% load, so we'll work with that.
