1959SLP TREBLE / LESS GAIN THAN BEFORE?

sounds to me as if the spl has less gain than before...does it? it sounds to me better, i set drive to 10 on the amp block and i can use my volume knob on my guitar with higher settings...with the previous FW i felt like having too much gain
if i turned the volume knob on guitar fully...

ps: i like setting the drive on amp full...it sounds to me as if it cuts the lows and makes the whole sound more mix ready...just like the real thing / never had one of these amps...but people owning one say it.

ps2: both statements can be wrong...anyways i like/luv what i hear with my les paul vos 1958...thx to FAS

It has the same gain but the B+ capacitance is lower now so it sags quicker. This gives the illusion of less gain since the gain is dependent upon the B+. It's probably also due to the improved anode current calculations.

(isn't it amazing how we simply don't know how 75% of the parameters in this box work and STILL they DO WORK! hahaha)
