Analog reamping - is a reamp box needed/preferred? Not usb.

I'm on windows and i'm not using the fm9 as an audio interface. When performing an analiog reamp out from my audio interface back to the fm9, is a reamp box recommended? My audio interface output is ~100 ohm balanced line level. All 3 inputs on the fm9 are 1megaohm so I'm thinking yes. Thanks.

Imput Impedance, how to ?

Can someone attempt an explanation on what it does and how or when to use this? I've read the explanation in the manual but I think I'm missing a reference point. I've also tried changing the settings while playing and didn't notice any major difference, so I'm definitely clueless.
