EMG 707 TWX - R & TWX Short Demo, Active Coil Split Humbucker

Hi, here's my Demo of EMG 707 TWX-R (Neck) and TWX (Bridge) pickups. I played the intro from the song "i'm awake" by "Intervals" using various pickup combinations, from Humbucker to split coil. Guitars only (no BT or else). Hope it helps those who want to hear this great versatile guitar...

Does Fractal Axe Fx Work Good With EMG 81/85?

I was wondering if there's any issues with using active pickups with the Fractal Axe FX modelers? I heard someone say that active pickups only sound good through real tube amps and not modelers, so I was just wondering if this is the case? And also, do you have to dial in the tone in a preset...

I took the Q7b2 plunge and it inspired 2 new songs to come out!

It's safe to say I'm really loving the new Quantum 7 beta 2 firmware. I'm very glad to have taken the plunge! Fractal Audio and OwnHammer have also just released a new IR pack. It's the first OwnHammer 'Player Pack' in the FAS store and it's really good. I'd say these are the best vintage...

EMG 81 internal preamp clipping

As a follow up to a thread I saw today about EMG preamp clipping, I decided to test it out on my guitars at home. The internal preamp in the EMG 81 is absolutely, positively clipping like crazy. Both my guitars with 81s suffer the same problem. The clipping is so loud with my Dean ML...

EMG-818x/668 Metal Test ("5153" - Carvin DC800)

Hi folks, Here's it goes: a straightforward evaluation of the EMG-818x and EMG-668 in a metal context: rhythm, lead bridge and lead neck. These pickups + the "5153" model make wonders, I'm loving the textures (I'm also working on the EMG-818 and EMG-578 and the results are amazing as well)...
