Looking for simple 1X1 MIDI interface for my Ultra to Mac

Mute when tuning when connected via 4 cable method

Hi everyone, I just got hooked up to my amp using the 4 cable method and realized a problem. The tuner no longer mutes the signal. It must be getting through post the effects loop. Is there a work around for this?
