    Nope, not for this test. I set up two scenes so I could easily A/B between one and two amps. Even using the same settings, there’s an audible different over just using one amp. The slight tweaks just help push the sound in a thicker direction.

    So I tried the two amp thing today. I’m digging it. Same amp, slightly different EQ (bass + .03 and treble - .03), hard panned. It definitely adds something to the sound. Subtle, but audible. Like a touch of fairy dust.

    It seems the link is broken. I was trying to use the MIDI Block to control Ableton. This morning I was finally successful. I had to use MIDI CC with a value of 64 for it to work. A 0 value would not work (makes sense in hindsight). I suppose 127 might work as well, but I don’t want to jinx it!

    Gain staging implies setting proper level at every point in the signal path. In your scenario, although your final output level might be fine when set at the Output block, you could be overloading all the blocks inserted after the Amp block (but before the Output block).

    Yes. Using the Envelope would produce the same result as a Dynamic EQ. Using ADSR would be more a kin to a multiband compression because of the time parameters.

    Well, my drummer hated all the sounds I dialed in using the Synth Block. He missed the standard metronome sound pounding in this ears. I also found it distracting having the tempo LED not in sync with the LFO “click.” So...I’m back to hoping my wish gets implemented someday.

    Just because you change scenes it doesn’t mean that every block has to change - some, or all, can stay the same! It’s simple...unless I’m totally missing an aspect of what you are trying to accomplish.

    I’m pretty sure scenes will handle what you need. Scene are POWERFUL. That being said, you’ll probably need to experiment with block order and/or parallel routing to get the behavior you want.
