RedSound MF.10 - FM3 - Tom Anderson demo

Hey what I found was more that it didnt have the spikey high end typical FRFR had, the clips we did really did sound like that in the room, there is no post processing of any kind, just the room mic and with no tweaking to any presets, I just found them warm and detailed.

Fractal Noise Reducer vs noiseless single-coils

The V Quiet system on Tom Anderson guitars is incredible (Suhr silent system as well). To me using that with real single coils is the best option having had lots of noiseless pickups

This would probably be a pain in the ass for Fractal but interesting thought would be a switch in the ideal part of the amp block that gave you "exact" or Cliff's idealized version. That would allow Cliff to fix anything he wanted with any amp and the user to decide what they preferred for each...

Anyone Else Find Dyna-Cabs Overly Bright?

This might be of help below, great vid on dialing in dynacabs. My experience was I need to start from scratch and redial the amp with my ears and blend a ribbon and a dynamic. I have it sounding killer now but it took a bit.

Hey congrats on the guitar! for th neck pickup try disconnecting the neck tone control, its about 1 minute job and 1 wire, this will greatly reduce that murky LP neck thing!

Can't get good recording tones, what am I doing wrong?

In general I go for more treble ! less bass ! less gain, this often works, I don't use a mic on the cab in the cab block and go direct to PT, be cautions on IR selection. I am Beta testing the AX8 right now, just did a quick preset from scratch and recorded it directly into protools at rehearsal...

I wasn't asking for the preset just the amp/ Ir combo, lots of fractal artists share this info all the time, that is what makes the forum great, and I also said if possible. They sounded great so I was looking for info on the amp model. Far cry from asking for their presets.

Carol-Ann Amps Kill.

I own several, I am a big axe user as well but the Carol anns are the best tube amps available. Whether live or in the studio, just throw a mic anywhere and they sound perfect. The Tucana in the axe is killer and my go to. I have a hybrid Triptik with a Tucana kt88 power section that Alan made...

Hey man thank you ! wow this thread has taken on a life of its own ! go to Fighting Friday | Boston Rock, Originals, Covers, Mashups has our schedule. I will do my first few shows with G3 this weekend and report back. Did not seem that hard to tweak my live presets, maybe took 30 minutes.

Hey guys I will try to answer all the questions - No nothing I did not like about it, exact opposite, instantly loved it. Volume on my RCF was varied from low to more than gig volume (so super quiet to crazy loud). Headphones sorry no clue, my setup is not tweaked for that so I can't comment but...

Hi I tried a bunch of different amps, carol ann's, friedman, fenders, marshalls and Fryette. The improvements seemed universal across the amps I tried.

Axe FX8 with BE100 to switch clean/dirty and BE to HBE

Hi guys I had an fx8 for testing and will tell you this is super easy to do. Just buy the right cable. The other option is to get a small midi switcher box and to use the fx8 midi switching. Either way you are covered.

Makes total sense, I would say most of the classic tones we all love include this coloration in the end result. Clip was bad ass. Great great idea.
