Wish Axe-Fx III boot right into Tuner

Maybe I just dreamed that it booted up to tuner when it was powered down in tuner mode. Sorry. That wish still stands I suppose. I have to make sure all volumes are down now. Seems like a reasonable wish and it damn sure would save a ton of noise at power up. If there were a way to set the tuner...

    Wish Acoustic guitar amps

It seems logical that there be at least one preset for acoustic guitar in the myriad of those available. I struggle myself to get the best tone I can with my acoustic, which I use the most in the real world. I currently don't use an amp or cab, but I'm certainly open to deferring to the masses...

Wish Axe-Fx III boot right into Tuner

I had a wish for that very thing. I have since learned to always power down with the tuner on. It boots up right to that state. Still, I think it makes sense if it were the default of the unit to start up in the tuner state so it would be automatically muted. It seems to me that it would also be...

Wish Axe-Fx III boot right into Tuner

That method works for me. It does have a momentary bit of sound on each boot before the command is met, but it is much better than booting up to a hum of a preset with no instrument connected. TY

I could do that, but I pretty much took care of it when I modified my acoustic guitar preamp with a switch that disconnects the battery. Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 13.03

I wish there was a way to have the unit power up each time to the tuner function. That way the unit is muted by default. So If you have an input slamming away at start up (by mistake), you could catch it on the meters before it invades the ears.

Using the Tuner as a mute switch?

I didn't think there was any damage being done, and I just want confirmation. It is a bit concerning to me that the screen and the tuner is going like crazy for hours on end.

I seem to recall Cliff stating that he never really turns his unit off. I wonder what he prefers as a mute.
  19. C2@TJS

Using the Tuner as a mute switch?

So you don't recommend using the tuner as a mute? It seems like pulling the cable and then having to replace the cable is much more involved than using the tuner button.
  20. C2@TJS

Using the Tuner as a mute switch?

Great stuff!. With regards to a comparison, I thought the mix favored Massimo in shear volume, but I thought Marco was the smoother tone and more in the pocket of the mix. As usual, when two great guitarists play together, melody gives way to flourishing chops. All good though.

At least that's something to use. So Increment wraps. Cool, so as long as a song doesn't need more than 8 scenes total, then I'm good. Several would be just copies. Start at 1 and increment through. If you miss tap the switch, just tap through to the correct one.
